Virtual Pembrokeshire Coast Path Walk for Treadmills

The Pembrokeshire Coast Path follows 300 km of coastline through Pembrokeshire Coast National Park in southwest Wales, with this 48-minute walking video travelling along grassy clifftops and natural coastal paths. The trail surface varies between compact dirt, grass, rocky sections and occasional steps, giving the walk a distinctly natural feel.

The scenery changes constantly along the coast. Rugged Atlantic cliffs give way to sandy beaches, sheltered coves and rocky headlands, with coastal heath and wildflowers covering sections of the clifftops. Open views across the ocean are a constant feature, while offshore islands and sea stacks appear along parts of the route.

The walking terrain is more undulating than the 0% treadmill setting suggests. Short climbs and descents occur regularly as the path follows the coastline, with some sections elsewhere on the trail involving steeper hills and flights of steps. At around 5 km/h, the video maintains a relaxed coastal walking rhythm. Occasional 1–3% incline changes can add some of the natural rise and fall to an indoor walking workout.

The Pembrokeshire Coast Path is a National Trail and passes through the only coastal national park in Wales. More than 50 beaches are found along its length, with the landscape ranging from high cliffs and exposed headlands to dunes, estuaries and sheltered beaches.

The coastline is also an important wildlife habitat. Seabirds nest around the cliffs, while Atlantic grey seals, dolphins and porpoises can sometimes be seen offshore. The open coastal setting means there is little to interrupt the views, with the trail repeatedly emerging onto broad stretches of ocean-facing grassland.

For a virtual walk or treadmill walking session, this route keeps a steady pace while the scenery does most of the changing. Clifftops, beaches, rocky coastline and wide Atlantic views create a distinctly Welsh coastal walk without requiring a sustained treadmill incline.
