Virtual GR10 Walk for Treadmills
GR10 Walk follows a section of the GR10 Long Distance Trail in the eastern French Pyrenees, near Pyrenees National Park. This 35-minute walking video moves along established mountain pathways with compact dirt, rocky surfaces, and uneven alpine track that gradually climbs through changing high-country terrain.
The route shifts between open mountain slopes and shorter forested sections, with broad views across Pyrenean ridgelines appearing regularly along the trail. Distant valleys stretch below while rugged peaks rise across the horizon, creating long sightlines that change steadily as elevation builds. Some sections pass through alpine meadows before narrowing again beneath woodland edges and mountain contours.
The climb remains consistent without becoming steep. There is a noticeable uphill feel throughout, but the gradient stays manageable enough to maintain a smooth rhythm and continuous forward movement. For treadmill walking, a pace around 4 km/h with incline between 2–4% closely reflects the steady climbing effort and mountain hiking feel.
Rockier footing appears in places, breaking up smoother dirt sections and creating the varied texture typical of long-distance mountain trails. The route feels active without becoming technical, encouraging a slightly slower cadence compared with flatter forest walks.
The GR10 stretches roughly 900 kilometres across France, running from the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea through remote villages, alpine passes, and mountain landscapes. Even on a shorter section like this, the route carries the feel of a much larger journey unfolding beyond the visible trail.
Birds of prey and mountain wildlife are part of the wider Pyrenees landscape, and grazing livestock can sometimes appear on surrounding slopes. As a virtual walk or indoor walking workout, the route creates a continuous sense of progression, with changing ridgelines and steady elevation giving the scenery a feeling of constant movement.
