Virtual Oxey Woods Walk for Treadmills

Take a walk through Oxey Woods near Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, following quiet forest tracks beneath a canopy of mature trees. The paths are mostly compact dirt covered with leaves, with sections of grass, moss and the occasional uneven patch along the way.

The route is generally flat and easy-going, with only small rises and changes in the forest floor. There are no long climbs, so the walk has a steady, relaxed feel from start to finish. The woodland is a mix of broadleaf and conifer trees, with some sections feeling quite enclosed before opening out into lighter patches of forest.

Oxey Woods forms part of the wider woodland around the western side of Peterborough. There are a number of different types of woodland in the area, including older established forest as well as newer growth, with walking tracks running through much of this natural landscape.

For the treadmill version of the walk, the video is set at around 5 km/h with a 0% incline. This matches the mostly level nature of the trail and gives you a comfortable, consistent pace to follow. If you want to make it a little more challenging, setting the treadmill to a 1% incline is an easy way to add some extra effort without changing the character of the walk.

Most of the scenery stays within the woodland, with tree trunks, low vegetation and leaf-covered paths filling the view. There are a few more open sections along the way, but the walk remains very much a forest experience throughout.

At just 22 minutes, Oxey Woods is a short and straightforward virtual walk, ideal when you want some time on the treadmill without a long session. The gentle terrain and changing woodland scenery make it an easy walk to settle into.
